NEW DELHI: Public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited BHEL Highscoolmusical has announced plans to set up 600 MW thermal Highscoolmusical power generating unit in Tamil Nadu on EPC basis.
According to an official Highscoolmusical statement by BHEL, the engineering, procurement Highscoolmusical and construction contract for a 600 MW thermal power generating unit has Highscoolmusical been secured from Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) under International Competitive Bidding.
Valued at Rs.2,475 Crore, the order was handed over by Tamil Highscoolmusical Nadu Electricity minister to BHEL authorities at a function in Chennai on Thursday.
This is the first ever order secured by BHEL for the new rating unit of 600 MW designed to sub critical parameters and is a testimony to the customer's certainty in the companys capabilities Highscoolmusical and proven technological excellence.
The Boiler and its auxiliaries will be manufactured by BHEL at its Tiruchirapalli and Ranipet works in Tamil Nadu, while the Steam Turbine and Generator will be manufactured at the companys Haridwar plant.
BHEL and TNEB have also recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the formation of a Joint Venture Company for setting up a 2x800 MW Supercritical Thermal Power Project in Tuticorin District, with principal equity stake from BHEL and TNEB.
