Clifford Development is to kick start its new Cessna Citation S/II re-engining and airframe modification programme. A similar programme for the later Citation II is already offered by the Kalamazoo, Michigan-based company. The $2.2 million S/II modification will include replacing the S/II's Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D turbofans with Williams FJ44-3 turbofans, as well as adding winglets and more than 30 other enhancements. Clifford says performance improvements will include shorter take-off field lengths, a 75% reduction in time to climb to FL 430, a 40% increase in range and a 28% reduction in fuel costs First flight is scheduled for November leading to supplemental type certification early next year.
NetJets Europe has appointed chief executive of the British earning and General Aviation Association (BBGA) Mark Wilson director of regulatory affairs.
